Delanie Dennis has been a licensed insurance agent since 2025 and joined the Monty Homewood Agency in July 2026, bringing with her years of experience in the insurance industry and a genuine love for helping people.
Born in Michigan and raised in Arizona, Delanie attended Gilbert High School before eventually finding her way back to the Midwest—a place she always says has “been in her blood.”
Delanie began her insurance career with Aetna, working with Mercy Care RBHA as an Eligibility Consultant. From there, she advanced into Provider Data Services, eventually becoming a Provider Data Lead. In that role, she oversaw operations across five states and led a team of more than 20 individuals. One of her favorite parts of the job was training and developing others—a passion she still carries with her today.
In February 2020, Delanie decided it was time for another adventure and moved to Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Of course, her timing was impeccable: shortly after arriving, the world shut down. After a slightly delayed introduction to her new home, she has spent the years since discovering what it means to be a true Wisconsinite.
In late 2024, another unexpected opportunity came her way—this time taking her from the health insurance world into property and casualty insurance. Delanie quickly discovered how much she enjoyed helping individuals and families understand their coverage, protect what they’ve worked hard for, and feel confident in their insurance decisions. That path eventually led her to the Monty Homewood Agency, where she joined the team in July 2026.
Delanie still calls Sun Prairie home, where life is rarely quiet thanks to her four “fur children”: Elmer, her blind French Bulldog; Hunter, her 14-year-old Lab; Beans, her 10-year-old special-needs cat; and Hank, her 15-year-old “old man” cat.
When she isn’t talking insurance, Delanie can usually be found with a book, spending time with her animals, or making memories with her fiancé, Dave Thorson. The two recently got engaged, and she is very excited to add wedding planning to the list of adventures ahead!
For Delanie, insurance is about more than policies and paperwork—it’s about people. She loves building relationships with her clients, answering questions, and making insurance feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more personal.
